Thematic Curriculum Planning

Over 20 pages of detailed cross curricular planning to support the development of reading and cross curricular thematic learning.

Finally, after many requests from schools (!!) Liz Greensides has given in, and embarked on a series of thematic cross curricular plans based on a range of popular children’s literature and poetry. Each set of planning follows the main elements of the book, but has a specific subject driver outside of the English curriculum, thereby guaranteeing that English is part and parcel of all learning.

Each set of planning follows a similar format, and is fully referenced to the 2014 National Curriculum. It is shown in the medium and short term, with lesson outcomes, differentiation, and challenge. The planning is detailed enough to support lesson planning which can be tailored to the skills of the teacher and the needs of all the children in the class.

Differentiation and challenge are referenced to the 2014 NC and to the skills progression outlined in The RAINBOW Continuum of Skills.
