Using Data in the Classroom to Raise Achievement

This course explores in detail how teachers and leadership teams can make the best use of performance data on a day to day basis in order to raise attainment.

The use of assessment data to analyse and target the progress of individuals and groups is explored, within context of each child’s individual and personal circumstances, and with practical examples given and used.

Average points scores and their relationships with predictions, target setting and attainment levels are investigated, with practical examples given and used. The use of data across the curriculum is explained.

By the end of the day, teachers will be able to use assessment and performance data to track pupils’ progress more effectively, with suggestions of how to reduce paper trails and unnecessary record keeping.
